Small digital tracks
Cookie policy
A simple guide to the technical cookies that support language, login and portal security.
Last updated: 20 July 2026
Technical only
They support language, authentication and security.
Under your control
You can remove them in browser settings.
No profiling
No advertising browsing profiles are created.
What cookies and similar tools are
Cookies are small pieces of data stored by a website in the browser to remember information between pages. Session cookies disappear on closing; persistent cookies remain until expiry or deletion.
Other technologies, such as local storage or technical identifiers, can provide similar functions and are described under the same transparency principles.
Strictly necessary cookies
The portal uses technical tools required to keep sessions secure and provide explicitly requested features. They are not used for behavioural advertising.
- application session cookies, present when you register or sign in
- security cookies and tokens needed to refresh sessions and prevent unauthorised access
- technical hosting cookies, if enabled by the provider for security and delivery
Language preference
The language is carried by the page address (English under the /en prefix) and an explicit choice is remembered in the locale cookie, allowing the portal to reopen in the right language. It is functional and does not describe interests or visiting habits.
External content and services
Some links lead to external maps, ticketing or websites. Once opened, the destination service applies its own notice and may use its own cookies.
The prototype does not install analytics, social pixels or advertising platforms. If non-essential tools are added, they must be disclosed and blocked until a valid user choice is obtained.
How to manage them
You can inspect, block or delete cookies in browser settings. Blocking technical cookies may prevent login, language selection or other features from working.
- use logout to close the account session
- clear site data through the browser privacy panel
- review consent preferences if a dedicated panel is introduced in future
Updates and contacts
This policy must change when technologies, providers or purposes change. For questions about the prototype, write to demo@necropoli-cerveteri-guide.it.
